Steve McConnell "Code Complete 2nd Edition"

"In summary, a primary goal of software design and construction is conquering complexity."

This book covers from design to coding and test. It doesn't recommend a tricky code, not easily understandable one in order to construct with others.
I have read it with my friends in my workplace. They had many opinions about the way to construct a software, so I enjoyed their thoughts.
We would move to a next book.
